Tile installation

What does professional tile installation include?

Good tile work is mostly the part you never see. A flat, properly prepped substrate, a balanced layout, and the right setting materials are what keep tile from cracking, lifting, or showing uneven edges down the road. We handle all of it in-house, from prep to the final grout line.

We set porcelain, ceramic, marble, and natural stone on floors, walls, showers, and backsplashes. Whether it is one room or a whole house, the same crew runs your project start to finish, so the look stays consistent and the quality stays high.

What we install

Floors, walls, and bathroom tile

One crew for every surface in your home, set to the same standard whether it is a kitchen floor or a full bathroom.

Floors

Floor tile that stays solid underfoot

Porcelain, large-format, and natural stone floors set over a flat, prepped substrate so they stay level and lippage-free for years. Ideal for high-traffic rooms, kitchens, and the heat and humidity of coastal living.

Outdoor and balcony floors get weather-rated materials so they hold up to sun, rain, and salt air.

Walls

Wall tile with crisp, balanced layouts

Shower walls, accent and feature walls, and fireplaces, laid out so the pattern is centered and the grout lines stay straight and even. Small details like outlets and corners are cut clean.

Tiling a shower? See our shower remodeling service, where every wall is waterproofed first.

Bathrooms

Bathroom tile, coordinated and waterproofed

Floors, walls, showers, and niches tied into one clean, cohesive look. Wet areas are sealed with a certified Schluter system so moisture never reaches the structure behind the tile.

We can handle the tile alone or the full bathroom, including the shower build.

Materials

Which tile is right for your project?

Every material has a place. Here is how the most common options compare, so you can pick with confidence.

Our process

How we install tile that lasts

Six steps, one crew, and a heavy focus on the prep that keeps tile flat and solid for the long run.

💡

A tile floor is only as flat as what is under it. The prep you never see, flattening the substrate, planning the layout, and choosing the right setting materials, is what prevents cracked tile, uneven edges, and grout that fails. That invisible work is where we spend our time.

1

Free measure and layout plan

We measure the space, plan the layout, and give you a clear, itemized estimate at no cost.

2

Substrate prep and flatness

We repair and flatten the subfloor, set backer board, and waterproof any wet areas before tile goes down.

3

Dry-fit and layout lines

We balance the cuts, center the pattern, and snap reference lines so the finished result is square and intentional.

4

Set the tile

We use the right thin-set and trowel for the tile, back-butter large-format pieces, and use leveling systems for a flat, lippage-free surface.

5

Grout, seal, and movement joints

We grout cleanly, seal where needed, and add movement joints so the tile handles temperature swings.

6

Clean and final walkthrough

We clean up, inspect every line, and walk the finished space with you.

Questions

Tile installation questions

Straight answers on cost, materials, flatness, and how long a tile job takes.

How much does tile installation cost in Panama City Beach?
Installed tile usually runs from about $8 to $25 per square foot for most porcelain and ceramic work, with natural stone and detailed patterns costing more. Your total depends on the tile you pick, the size and layout of the space, and how much prep or old-tile removal is needed. Every estimate is free and itemized.
What types of tile do you install?
Porcelain, ceramic, marble and other natural stone, large-format tile, and mosaics, on floors, walls, showers, and backsplashes.
Can you tile over existing tile, or do you remove it?
It depends on the surface and the room. We can sometimes tile over a sound, flat surface, but the longer-lasting result is usually to remove the old tile and prep properly, especially in wet areas. We will tell you honestly which makes sense for your project.
How do you keep floor tile flat and lippage-free?
It starts with the substrate. We flatten and prep the floor, use the right thin-set and trowel, back-butter large pieces, and use leveling systems so the finished surface is even, with no high edges to catch your foot.
Do you waterproof bathroom and shower tile?
Yes. Any wet area gets a certified Schluter waterproofing system behind the tile. You can see exactly how we build wet areas on our shower remodeling page.
What is large-format tile, and do you install it?
Large-format tile is any tile with one side longer than 15 inches. It gives a clean, modern look with fewer grout lines, but it needs a very flat substrate and leveling systems to set correctly. We install it regularly.
How long does tile installation take?
A single floor or backsplash is often one to a few days. A full bathroom usually runs one to two weeks. We give you a schedule up front and send photo updates as we go.
Do you offer free estimates, and what areas do you serve?
Yes, estimates are always free. Call or text (850) 612-4811, or send a photo on Messenger. We serve Panama City Beach, Panama City, Lynn Haven, Santa Rosa Beach, and the 30A area, seven days a week.
